I received a B.S. in Ecology from Cornell University in 1998, and a M.S. in Botany from the Field Naturalist Program at the University of Vermont in 2002.

I have been working in the field as a naturalist and educator since 1996. I started as a field assistant in for several bird research projects, and I am still an avid bird watcher. I have worked all over New England as well as Alaska, Costa Rica, Belize and the Dominican Republic.

I am especially interested in integrating field science and place-based education.

In 2003- 2006 I taught Wildlife Ecology at CCV, and Winter Ecology for Sterling College at the Center for Northern Studies.

I have worked as an interpretive park ranger at Acadia National Park, as a landscape analyst for the PLACE Program, and I am on the board of the Friends of Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge.

I also do some freelance mapping and writing, most recently I created natural and cultural history point of interest maps for Blue Cross Blue Shield, and I am in a constant state of writing and revising natural history articles for publication in local newsapers and magazines. Some day soon I'll put those online here.
