Jerome and I hiked 2000 miles from Canada to Southern Colorado during the summer of 2002. Light-weight, long days, and a whole lot of fun. Check out the archived web page for pictures, stories, gear and more.
I hiked 2600 miles from Mexico to Canada in 1999. I hiked alone but met and made many friends along the way. I raised over $12,000 for scholarships in outdoor education. There's should still be an old website up for this hike too (click above).
I started long distance hiking in 1994 - I was 19 and looking for somewhere to go. I wore out several pairs of boots on the Appalachian Trail that year and the next, hiking about 75% of the trail in all.

I've also run three marathons and walked one with my twin sister for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society (Team in Training). I hope to run at least one more - Portland, Maine in the Fall of 2007.
